> STEP_1 - ENTER_A_TARGET_CATEGORY
In the search bar at the top, type the type of business you want to target. Be specific, because the more specific your category, the better your results.
restaurant plumber hair salon auto repair dentist landscaping roofing contractor tattoo shop
Avoid generic terms like "business" or "store" as they return too many irrelevant results.
> STEP_2 - SET_YOUR_SEARCH_AREA
The green dashed circle on the map defines your search radius. You can reposition it two ways:
- Click anywhere on the map - the circle jumps to that location
- Drag the crosshair in the center of the circle to move it precisely
Use the --search-radius slider to adjust the radius from under a mile to 30+ miles. Smaller radius = more precise, local results. Larger radius = more leads but less targeted.
Hit [ GPS ] to instantly center the circle on your current location.
> STEP_3 - RUN_THE_SCAN
Click [ SCAN ]. The tool searches Google Maps for businesses matching your category within the radius, then filters out any business that already has a website. Only businesses with no website and a valid phone number appear in your leads list.
You can run multiple scans across different areas and leads stack up with duplicates automatically removed.
> STEP_4 - REVIEW_YOUR_LEADS
Results appear in the table on the right. Each lead shows:
- Name - business name (click to open their Google Maps profile)
- Phone - direct phone number for outreach
- City - location/neighborhood
- Rating - Google rating out of 5
- Reviews - number of reviews (higher = more established business)
Click any column header to sort. Use the grep -i... filter box to search by name or city.
> STEP_5 - EXPORT_AND_OUTREACH
Click [ EXPORT.CSV ] to download all your leads as a CSV file. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any CRM to manage your outreach.

> PRO_TIPS
- Target businesses with 4.0+ ratings and 20+ reviews, as they're established, have customers, and can afford a website
- Scan the same category across multiple neighborhoods to build a large list quickly
- Restaurants, salons, and contractors are the highest-converting categories for web design leads
- Run scans in small towns and suburbs where competition is lower and businesses are more likely to be without a website
